Where Have You Been?
This is the place to tell or ask anyone where they have dove and where to go diving. Also where not to go and who not to use. So help out our fellow divers.

Went to Grand Cayman in May. Visibility was amazing (60+ feet) and they said is was not as good as it is usually. Dive was planned through the Royal Carribbean. Diving was great. Tanks were not certifired. I think we got some bad air as all four of us ended up with cold syptoms and chest congestion. that has lingered on for more than two weeks. Wnet on andDove in Cozumel same week. It was even better. The reef at the edge of the shelf is awsome. Many swin thrus. The current was stiff so drift diving was the way to go. Visibility was even better thatn Grand Cayman. OF the two places, I prefer the scenery at Cozumel. Can’t wait to go again….. I have photos if you want ot see any! Email me…

It is unfortunate that you got sick. Most places due do the proper thing and make sure that all of their cylinders are up to date with VIP and Hydro.
It should be a standard practice anywhere Scuba is offered that they have to get their Air tested to make sure things like this do not happen. I really hope that you guys feel better and please don’t let it discourage you,not all places are like that. Thanks for the input.
Happy Diving

We just came back from diving in West Palm. We had a great time. We dove with Narcosis not sure if I spelled that right. We went with the dive shop and Dave Farlow led the trip. The boat crew were alot of fun and helped in makeing the trip a great experince. This was our first dive in the ocean or off a boat so I dont have anything to comepare them to. HOwever everybody on the trip thought they were great. It was great awesome diving we saw lots of sea turtles and alot of cool fish. I would recomend this trip for anybody.

Went to Wilmington and dove the “Hyde” wreck. It was a great time and I would go again,,, but will wait till the weather gets better in NC. The boat crew were really great and catered to our needs. The Sand Sharks were there to greet us, but no interaction after that.
Recommend adding this one to your log if you have never been.

Just dove the Chac Mool Cenotes in Mexico (near Cancun/Playa del Carmen) and it is something everyone should do once (or twenty times). You take a van to the middle of a jungle (downa long dirt road) and park in a small opening. Gear up and walk down some rock steps and you come to a small opening in the earth with what appears to be a small pond of water (8 feet wide by 20 feet long and about 10 feet deep). You step in and go down under a ledge and this amazing cavern system opens up. Clear, fresh water with viz as far as you can see. Staligtimes and mites, fossils in the floor and some amazing swim-thrus. About half way you come up in an air pocket and talk about what you have seen while you are looking at tree roots that have made thier way from the top down thru the limestone to the water. I will make a copy of the video and leave with Bob at the shop. IF you are ever in the area, this is a must do!

This is what everyone wanted. To ask our Dive community for info on where to dive.
